Accessibility
Target: WCAG 2.2 AA. Each row expands to explain how it works in this app; anything not yet complete is stated plainly.
Keyboard-only useAndroid keyboard navigationPartial
Icons, folders and settings can be reached and opened with Android's keyboard and D-pad navigation. Editing the home screen (dragging, resizing widgets) is designed for touch; keyboard use has not yet been fully tested on devices.
Screen readerTalkBackPartial
Icons and buttons are announced to TalkBack by name. Testing with TalkBack on real devices has not yet been completed.
Voice controlVoice Control, Voice AccessPartial
Visible buttons have a written or accessible name and can be used by saying it. Not tested on real devices.
Dark interfaceFollows the system themeSupported
Follows the system’s light or dark theme by default; light or dark can be fixed from the app’s menu.
Larger textFollows the system font sizePartial
Text in the settings and in the app drawer grows with Android's font size setting; icon and label size on the home screen are changed in the Icons settings. Not every screen has yet been checked at the largest font sizes.
Sufficient contrastDepends on the wallpaper on the home screenPartial
Text and background colours in the settings are the same checked colours used throughout FigBell. The legibility of home screen labels depends on the wallpaper; label shadow, label colour and wallpaper dimming are therefore available in the settings.
Not relying on colour aloneStates mostly also shown with text and iconsPartial
Most states are shown with text, an icon or a shape as well as colour; not every screen has yet been checked for this.
Reduce motionSystem animation settingPartial
Android's animation scale setting (Accessibility › Remove animations) also applies to the app's transitions; this has not yet been checked on devices.
Touch targets48 dp targetsPartial
Icons, buttons and settings rows follow Android's recommendation of touch targets of at least 48 dp; not every screen has been checked yet.
