Cookie notice

In brief

This site uses Google Analytics cookies only if the visitor consents; without consent, no cookie is set. Theme, language and cookie choice are stored in the browser's local storage and never sent to a server.

This site uses no cookies, pixels or similar technologies for advertising or social media. Google Analytics is used for visit statistics; Google Analytics and its cookies are loaded only if the visitor consents in the notice shown on the first visit. Declining does not limit any function of the site.

1. Data stored in the browser

To remember the user's choices, only the following values are written to the browser's local storage (localStorage). They are never sent to a server and do not identify the user:

  • figbell.theme: the selected theme (dark or light). Removed when the system theme is selected.
  • figbell.locale: the language choice (tr, en, de, es, fr or pt-BR). Written when a language is chosen in the language selector; shared with the FigBell applications.
  • figbell.consent: the cookie choice (accepted or declined) and its date. Written so that the notice is not shown again on every visit.

2. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

Only with consent is Google Analytics loaded and the following cookies set:

  • _ga: a random identifier to distinguish visitors; retained for 2 years.
  • _ga_<id>: to keep session state; retained for 2 years.

These cookies are provided by Google and used only for visit statistics; advertising and personalisation permissions are always off. Details: policies.google.com/privacy.

3. The applications

The FigBell applications likewise use no cookies. They store preferences, the list of recent files, in some applications library and content data (e.g. notes, boards, books), and application files for offline use in the browser's local storage (localStorage, IndexedDB, cache). Details are provided in the privacy policy.

4. Third parties

Apart from Google Analytics, this site loads no external fonts, scripts or embedded content, and Google Analytics itself loads only with consent. When the font picker is used in Pictava, and while the corresponding settings are on in Typelo, requests are sent to Google Fonts (or Bunny Fonts), Fontshare and jsDelivr (Fontsource); Typelo sends these requests without cookies. No cookies are sent with the requests Cirrela makes to Open-Meteo. The station websites in Melvona, streams added by the user and websites opened through external links in the applications are subject to their own cookie policies.

5. Deletion

The cookie choice can be changed at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of the page; when consent is withdrawn, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted. Stored values can also be deleted by clearing this site's data in the browser settings; the theme then returns to the system theme, the language to the browser language, and the cookie notice is shown again.
