Frequently asked questions
Why does the circuit say "oscillating"?
When an output feeds its own input inverted (for example a NOT gate connected to itself), the values keep changing and the circuit never settles. Stable feedback such as an SR latch does settle and holds its last state.
What does "Test" check?
It tries every input combination for the exercise's goal (an input sequence for circuits with memory) and shows the first wrong row with the expected and actual value. Only the gates allowed in the exercise can be used.
How is an expression written?
AND: A·B, A*B or AB · OR: A+B · NOT: ¬A, !A or A' · XOR: A⊕B or A^B; parentheses are allowed. Write one output per line (S = A ⊕ B).
How are circuits moved to another device?
Save one circuit or all circuits as a .boolia file and open it on the other device. "Back up…" carries all data, including exercise progress.

Known limitations
Functions not supported in the current version.
- The simulation works at the logic level: each gate delay is one step; voltage, current and real timing are not calculated.
- There are no ready-made flip-flop, counter or sub-circuit parts; latches are built from gates.
- The truth table is built for up to 8 inputs; the expression is simplified up to 4 inputs, beyond that the rows giving 1 (Σm) are listed.
- Building a circuit from a table works with up to 4 inputs and 4 outputs. In a circuit with memory, the expression applies only to the current state.
