Features
With the Koch method you start with two characters; once accuracy reaches 90%, the next one is added. Listening, sending and translating are in the same application, and progress is tracked character by character.
Key features
- Koch method
- Starts with two characters in the LCWO order; at 90% accuracy over a whole session, the next character is unlocked. Lessons can also be chosen manually.
- Farnsworth spacing
- Character speed 5–40 wpm with a separate effective speed; tone 400–1000 Hz and volume. Elements have cosine-shaped edges, so there are no clicks.
- Listen and copy
- Koch groups, words, Q codes, made-up call signs and QSO lines are played; the answer is scored character by character (correct, wrong, missing, extra).
- Send
- Straight key (press and hold; touch, mouse, pen or Space) and iambic A / B paddles; dot and dash memory, and a decoder that adapts to the sender's speed.
- Translate
- Text ↔ Morse in both directions; playback with the current character highlighted, saving and sharing as WAV, creating a drill from text.
- Chart
- Letters, digits, ITU punctuation, prosigns (AR, SK, BT, KN …) and national characters (marked as non-ITU); plays on tap.
- Progress
- Accuracy per character and confused characters, practice streak in days and session history.
- Visual and haptic
- A flashing light, vibration on devices that support it and showing the code while listening.
- Samples
- Common words, Q codes, radio abbreviations, call signs and a short QSO come with the first launch; they return with "Add samples again".
Devices and browsers
- On phones the straight key and the iambic paddles are large on-screen buttons; on a computer you can also send with the keyboard.
- Saving a file in place is available in Chrome, Edge and Opera; in other browsers the saved file is downloaded.
