Frequently asked questions
Does the script listen to me and follow along?
No. Oratelo does not listen to audio or use the microphone; the script scrolls at the chosen words-per-minute pace. ↑ ↓ change the speed, Space pauses, and ← → or a page turner skip a paragraph.
Can it be used with a glass teleprompter rig?
Yes. Choose the horizontal mirror in the stage settings and the text reads correctly on the glass. A vertical mirror is also available.
What happens at a pause marker?
Depending on the setting, the script waits for the marker's duration and then continues, or stops until resumed. The marker's duration is shortened or lengthened in the editor.
How are scripts moved to another device?
Save one script or the whole library as an .oratelo file and open it on the other device. "Back up…" carries all data and settings in a single file.

Known limitations
Functions not supported in the current version.
- There is no speech recognition; the script does not follow the speaker but scrolls at the chosen pace. The speed is adjusted with ↑ ↓ on stage, the position with the wheel or by dragging.
- Oratelo does not record video or audio; it only shows the script.
- DOCX import skips images, table formatting and footnotes.
- The time estimate is based on the chosen pace; the actual duration depends on the speaker.
