Frequently asked questions
Can I connect to MySQL from the browser?
No. Browsers cannot open a direct connection to a database server. The desktop application is used for MySQL and PostgreSQL; SQLite and the data model also work in the browser.
Are my queries or passwords sent anywhere?
No. The connection is made directly from this device to the database server; passwords are stored on this device with the operating system's encryption.
How are differences between model and database applied?
The sync wizard lists the differences, flags risky steps and shows the SQL script to be applied; once confirmed, the script is applied in a single transaction or saved as .sql.
