Features

Drop or choose video and audio files to play them. A subtitle with the same name is added automatically and every file resumes where you left off; speed, aspect, picture-in-picture and frame capture are one click away.

Key features

Wide format list
MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and other videos the browser can decode; audio files such as MP3, FLAC, AAC, Opus and WAV also play.
Subtitles
An .srt or .vtt file with the same name as the video is added automatically; subtitles can also be loaded from the menu.
Resume
Each file's position is saved; reopening it continues from there, or it can be restarted.
Playlist
Several files or a folder are added to the list; repeat, shuffle and skip to the next.
Playback controls
Speed (0.5×–2×), volume, mute, 10 seconds back/forward, fill or fit the screen, full screen and picture-in-picture.
Frame capture
The current video frame is saved as PNG.
Audio files
Audio files show their artwork and track details and can be played without switching to Melvona.
System controls
Media keys and lock-screen play/pause and previous/next controls work.

Devices and browsers

  • On desktop the list sits in a side panel; on phones it opens from the bottom and controls are sized for fingers.
  • In full screen the controls hide after a while and return with mouse movement or a tap.
  • Playable formats vary by browser; Chrome and Edge offer the widest support.
