Features
Fonts installed on the computer, opened files and the free Google Fonts, Fontshare and Fontsource catalogues appear in one list with the same sample text. Coverage badges for accented letters, currency signs and typographic marks show which font will do the job.
Key features
- Every source, one list
- Fonts installed on the computer (permission is asked only on request), opened or dropped files and folders, Google Fonts (optionally loaded from Bunny Fonts), Fontshare and Fontsource; a virtual list for thousands of fonts.
- The same sample text
- Sample text, size, weight, italic, light / dark background and a character line apply to the whole list; filtering and sorting by source, class, coverage and name.
- Coverage badges
- Turkish (ÇĞİıÖŞÜ), ₺, € £, typographic quotes and dashes, Cyrillic, Greek and ligatures; the "Try characters" field shows the fonts that contain the characters typed.
- Comparison
- 2–6 pinned fonts are shown side by side; the comparison sheet is saved as PNG or PDF.
- Details
- A glyph grid by Unicode script, a size waterfall, all styles of the family, OpenType features (liga, smcp, onum, tnum, ss01…), metrics, and version, copyright, licence and manufacturer from the name table.
- Collections
- Fonts chosen for a project are gathered in a collection; collections are stored on this device.
- Code for web pages and projects
- For each family the code to use it is copied: Google Fonts and Bunny Fonts links, the Fontsource npm install and import lines or a jsDelivr link, the Fontshare link; with the CSS font-family line.
- Parsing on the device
- Files are read with fontkit in a separate thread; the scan of installed fonts is cached on this device.
Devices and browsers
- Listing the fonts installed on the computer is available in browsers that offer this feature (Chrome, Edge); in other browsers font files are opened.
- On phones the list is a single column; details and comparison open in a bottom sheet.
