Features
Rhythm patterns are built on a step grid or opened from the library; the timing test measures your timing to the millisecond. Sounds are generated on the device; no account or internet connection is needed.
Key features
- Step grid
- Several instrument rows: kick, snare, hi-hat, clave, tambourine, dum, tek, ka and more. Every cell is empty, normal or accented; rows can be muted or soloed.
- Meters and groupings
- Custom meters and groupings (e.g. 9/8 as 2+2+2+3); swing is adjustable.
- Library
- Turkish usul (Semai, Sofyan, Düyek, Türk aksağı, Devr-i hindî, Aksak, Curcuna, Malfuf), world rhythms (son clave, rumba clave, tresillo, bossa nova) and basic grooves (rock, funk, shuffle, 6/8, waltz). Built-in patterns can be copied and changed.
- Polyrhythm
- Two layers divide the same bar into different numbers of equal parts (3:2, 4:3, 5:4…), shown on a shared grid.
- Timing test
- Tap along with the pattern; each tap is measured as so many milliseconds early or late. Latency correction is available for headphones and Bluetooth speakers.
- Practice tools
- Tempo trainer, muted bars and count-in.
- Export
- Patterns are exported as MIDI files, or as .takiti files to bring them to another device.
Devices and browsers
- On phones the grid scrolls horizontally; the library and settings are in the bottom navigation.
- On tablets and desktops the library and settings are beside the grid.
