Features
The note you play is heard through the microphone and analysed on this device in real time; the sound is never recorded and never sent anywhere. From guitar to bağlama, with built-in and custom tunings.
Key features
- Instruments and tunings
- Guitar (standard, Drop D, half step down, whole step down, DADGAD, Open G, Open D, Drop C), bass guitar (4 and 5 strings), ukulele (standard, low G, baritone, D tuning), violin, viola, cello and bağlama (bağlama düzeni, bozuk düzen).
- Chromatic mode
- Recognises any note without choosing an instrument.
- String detection
- The string being played is found automatically; a string can also be locked. The app shows whether it is flat or sharp and whether to tighten or loosen it; strings that are in tune are marked.
- Custom tunings
- The number of strings and the note of each string are chosen by the user.
- Reference
- The A4 frequency is changed in 1 Hz steps (e.g. 432 or 442 Hz). Tapping a string plays its reference tone, so tuning by ear works without a microphone.
- Display
- Note names and sharps or flats are chosen; the tolerance is adjustable.
Devices and browsers
- The microphone is only on when the user turns it on, and it turns off when the app goes to the background.
- On phones the gauge and strings share one screen with settings in a bottom panel; on wide screens the settings are at the side.

Keyboard shortcuts
⌘ and ⌥ are used on macOS; Ctrl and Alt on Windows and Linux.
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| Space | Microphone on / off |
| R | Play the reference tone |
| A | Detect the string automatically (on / off) |
| ← → | Previous / next string |
| 1–9 | Lock a string (1 is the thinnest) |
On touch screens tapping a string locks it; with the microphone off, the string's reference tone plays. Buttons grow to 44 pixels.
