Frequently asked questions

Are images uploaded to a server?

No. Opening, editing and saving take place within the browser. The only outgoing requests concern Google Fonts typefaces selected by the user; the image is never included in them, and the connection can be turned off in the settings.

Can PSD files be opened?

Yes. Groups, masks, clipping masks and common adjustment layers are preserved. Layer effects and smart objects are not supported, and text layers are imported as pixels.

Can RAW photographs be opened?

Yes, many RAW types, including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic and DNG, via LibRaw. The image is imported at 8 bits.

Is pen pressure supported?

Yes, when drawing with a pen and with the pressure option of the brush enabled.
