Features
Open a folder, add rules in order and see each file's new name next to the current one before anything changes. Conflicting or invalid names are flagged; the last rename is undone with one click. Files never leave the device.
Key features
- Ordered rules
- Find and replace, insert text, remove characters, case, numbering, date, name from tags, spaces and characters, extension. Rules can be switched on and off and reordered.
- Live preview
- The current and new names appear side by side; unchanged and excluded files are marked. It stays smooth in folders with thousands of files.
- Conflict checks
- The same name given to two files, names that already exist in the folder, characters invalid on Windows and reserved names (CON, NUL…) are flagged; files with problems are skipped.
- Undo
- The last rename is undone with one click. Renaming happens in two steps, so swaps such as "a → b, b → a" are applied safely.
- Regular expressions
- Find and replace can use regular expressions; groups are carried into the new name with $1, $2. An invalid expression shows a warning and is not applied.
- Photo and music tags
- Capture date and camera from photos (EXIF); artist, title, album, track number and year from music can be written into the name: "03 - Artist - Title.mp3".
- Presets and saved rules
- Ready-made sets name photos by date, music by tags or files for the web with lower case and hyphens; your own rule sets are saved by name.
- Filtering and sorting
- Only certain files (e.g. *.pdf) are processed; files can be included or excluded one by one. Numbering follows the sort order by name, date or size; subfolders can be scanned too.
- Language-aware case
- Lower and upper case follow the rules of the selected language (in Turkish I → ı); accented letters can be simplified if wanted.
Devices and browsers
- In Chrome, Edge and the desktop application, files are renamed in place in the folder.
- In Safari, Firefox and phone browsers, copies of the selected files with their new names are downloaded as a ZIP.
- On a phone, rules and preview open as separate screens with bottom navigation.
