Features
Choose a folder and songs are sorted into albums and artists by their tags, with cover art. Arrange the queue, read the lyrics and open videos too; radio stations whose stream address you know play inside the app.
Key features
- Library
- Songs, albums, artists and videos; titles, artists, albums, track numbers and artwork are read from the tags. Images such as cover.jpg in the folder are used as covers too.
- Folder access
- Chosen folders are rescanned the next time the app opens; if permission is needed it is granted with one button (Chrome, Edge, Opera).
- Queue and liked songs
- Songs are added to the queue, played next and moved up or down. Liked songs are collected in their own section.
- Lyrics
- Lyrics embedded in the file are shown in a side panel.
- Video
- Music videos and other videos open in the same app and can be watched full width.
- Radio
- Radio stations whose stream address you know (HLS, MP3, AAC) are added and play inside the app. Well-known stations are listed as links to their own websites.
- Search
- Search songs, albums and artists; results narrow as you type.
- System controls
- Artwork, title and playback controls appear on the lock screen and respond to media keys.
Devices and browsers
- On desktop, a sidebar, list and bottom player bar; on phones bottom navigation and a full-screen "Now playing" view.
- In Chrome, Edge and Opera folders are remembered; in Safari and Firefox chosen files play for that session.
- Browsers may block insecure (http) streams; use the stream's https address.
Keyboard shortcuts
⌘ and ⌥ are used on macOS; Ctrl and Alt on Windows and Linux.

On touch screens, bottom navigation and large playback controls are used; queued songs are moved from the menu.
Interoperability with other FigBell applications
- Melvona also opens videos, and Filmeva also plays audio files.
- Use Filmeva for watching individual videos with subtitles and frame capture.
