Features
Enter the stock and the parts list; Kerfio places the parts on sheets and lengths and produces a numbered cutting order. Leftover pieces go into the inventory and are used first in the next project.
Key features
- Sheets and lengths
- Sheets (plywood, MDF, glass, acrylic) and lengths (timber, profiles, tubes); stock size, thickness, material, quantity or unlimited, price, edge trim and grain direction.
- Parts list
- Name, length × width, quantity, grain lock and edge banding; saw kerf. Units in mm, cm or fractional inches (23 5/8).
- Always the same result
- The optimizer runs in a Web Worker; guillotine cuts (rip first, cross-cut first or whichever is better) or free placement. The number of sheets is minimised first, then waste.
- Cutting order
- Sheet drawings with part letters and sizes and a numbered cutting order (rip strips first, then cross-cuts); parts that do not fit are listed with the reason.
- Offcut inventory
- "Mark as cut" adds offcuts to the inventory and deducts the ones used; offcuts in the inventory are used first in later projects.
- Outputs
- Cut list PDF and printing, part labels on A4 label sheets (3 × 7, 3 × 8, 2 × 7), SVG and DXF drawings, CSV.
- Summary
- Yield percentage, waste area, offcuts, edge banding length and cost.
- From a spreadsheet
- The parts list is imported from CSV or pasted from a spreadsheet.
- Samples
- A bookcase (MDF), a workbench (timber) and kitchen drawers come with the first launch; they return with "Add samples again".
Devices and browsers
- In the workshop the cutting order can be followed step by step on a phone; sheet drawings zoom with two fingers.
- Saving a file in place is available in Chrome, Edge and Opera; in other browsers the saved file is downloaded.
