Features

Open an image, choose the fabric count and stitch width, and the colours become a symbol chart. The chart is edited, split across A4 pages and printed; while stitching, completed stitches are marked off.

Key features

Patterns from images
An image is opened from a file, the clipboard, by drag and drop or with the camera on phones; it is cropped, the stitch width and fabric count (11–18 ct Aida, 25–36 ct linen) are chosen and the finished size is shown in cm / inches.
Colour matching
Colours are matched to the Crocella palette (458 approximate colours) with CIELAB / CIEDE2000; colour limit, dithering, removal of isolated stitches and leaving the background empty.
Editor
Symbols, colours or both; a bold line every 10 stitches and numbered rulers. Pencil, eraser, fill, replace colour, selection, flipping and symmetry.
Partial stitches
Half stitches (/ and \), quarter stitches and backstitch.
Thread list
Stitch count, estimated thread length and number of skeins for each colour (by strands, fabric and waste allowance), symbol key; your own thread number can be entered for each colour.
Stitching mode
Completed stitches are marked by tapping or dragging; progress percentage and highlighting of the selected colour.
PDF chart
A chart split across A4 pages with overlap rows, a preview on the cover, a page map and a colour key; printing and PNG.
Samples
A tulip, a small landscape, a geometric border and an alphabet sampler come with the first launch; they return with "Add samples again".

Devices and browsers

  • On phones an image can also be taken with the camera; in stitching mode stitches are marked with a finger.
  • On tablets you draw stitch by stitch with a pen; zoom with two fingers.
  • Saving a file in place is available in Chrome, Edge and Opera; in other browsers the saved file is downloaded.
